Monkey Business

Which ones are the monkeys?

Yesterday we went to Seven Star Park in Guilin. We climbed up one of the Karst Mountains, the path was steep and slippery and said beware of thunderstorms! There were also notices that said watch out for wild monkeys. We kept looking out, every time a branch moved Ellie and I thought it was a monkey! Eventually we met loads of monkeys on the trees and on the rocks. The monkeys were jumping, playing, even play fighting, and tumbling through the trees, jumping from tree to tree. We saw some baby ones that were carried on their parents back or tummy and some bigger monkeys grooming one another.

I reckon I could join them and be a monkey too!

Mum says thanks to Nurse Maria. Her warning that wild animals could scratch or bite meant Ellie and Will kept their distance….Will didn’t want to have to go for more jabs!  Ha ha.
