Hello and welcome to the Beaumont family website.
For well over a decade (almost 2 in fact), Jo and I have reminisced about the travelling we did before we were married and have always said that we’d love to take Ellie and Will , not necessarily to the same places but to have the opportunity to experience places in that different way that travel over an extended period allows. For us it has been a dream, for Ellie and Will, I think it’s just always been something there, on the horizon, that Mum and Dad have always talked about. “When we go travelling, we’ll ..”
So now it’s finally happening. Both Ty Bryn nursery and Plas Menai have kindly allowed us time to go. We’ve saved and borrowed what seems like an enormous sum of money (to us at least) but will take some careful management to stretch us through the 6 months. The house is packed up and kind friends are looking after it. Bertie the guinea pig has gone on holiday. We’ve chosen the smallest number of sets of underwear we think we can manage with and stuffed our cases.
Our aim with this blog is to create a personal record of the trip for us to look back on in the future. Hopefully, it’ll also be a way for family and friends to keep up with us. If it serves to inspire or entertain then that’s a bonus.
