We have just got back from an amazing acrobat show. There were people leaping through hoops higher than two men, and doing somersaults and handstands, 7 ladies balancing on one bicycle, a man. Juggling with 9 balls, and he managed to make them bounce up and down steps, and more! Will was so inspired that he has asked to start gymnastic club once we are back in Wales!
The weather here has been warm and sunny, so we have been drinking lots of water. This obviously means that you need the loo more. For us ladies, that means using a squatting loo. I am sure Ellie May will tell you more, but needless to say my toes have been sprinkled on a few times by my daughter, and even the odd yellow puddle has been known to escape under the loo door!!!!
The last couple of days we have been exploring the beautiful parks of Bei Hai and Jing Shan. These gardens have lots of winding, rocky path ways that lead up to beautiful and ornate pavilions and temples. Today we bought a prayer hanging to flutter in the wind in a tree by the temple. The views across the city from the top of the hills in the parks were beautiful. We have done a lot of walking around, it is great to take in all the everyday sights, sounds and smells. The city after dark is a beautiful thing too. It is just as busy, streets bustling with people, bikes tuk tuks etc. Lights glitter everywhere. Flashing neon signs, glowing lanterns or sparkling fairy lights, even people shining colourful lasers on the ground, making patterns by the children’s feet to make them dance!
