Digging for Dinosaurs

Will mentioned last night that the biggest dinosaur came from Argentina. I’ve no idea where he got this from, just one of the many odd facts that he keeps in his little head. Anyhow a little bit of digging (excuse the pun) comes up with Argentinosaurus huinculensis and an area of Argentina known as the Valley of the Dinosaurs.

Apparently you can visit Lago Barreales Paleontology Center (Proyecto Dino), and get fairly hands on.  There’s a great blog here (http://inspiringtravellers.com/2011/04/21/visiting-dinosaur-excavation-neuquen/). Definately one for the route plan.
